چکیده | ||
Background: Different studies found the use of educational games effective in improving the quality of students' learning and benefiting from the materials in clinical environments So,in this study, we designed the Nava game multimedia software in teaching dysarthria diagnostic skills in speech therapy students and investigating the effectiveness of the software in speech therapy students. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical study. After we designed and produced the content of Nava's educational game. This study was evaluated for 42 speech therapy students who were divided into two groups (the first group learned the topic of dysarthria by theoretical teaching and the second group learned it by theoretical teaching along with the use of Nava software).At the end, the level of students' knowledge was evaluated by the final exam score and the attitude level was checked using a researcher-made questionnaire. Results: Examining the mean and standard deviation scores of the students of the first group was 15.01±1.32 and the second group was 17.86±1.04 and the difference between the two groups was significant (p<0.001). The attitude level of the first group was29.61±14.72 and the second group was 43.14±16.50,which showed the significance difference between the two groups (p<0.001). Discussion: Nava is game software that can be installed on an Android phone, which led to an increase in learning, students' attitude towards learning, and the level of satisfaction of instructors and students in the diagnosis of dysarthria. | ||
