| Background: This study aims exploring psychometric properties to improve the interest of the talents of children with special needs in Indonesia. Method: This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The population of the qualitative part included the teachers of special schools in the Indonesia. For this purpose, teachers/therapists in this field were selected purposefully. In the quantitative part, the sample size was considered to be 354 who were selected by random sampling. In order to analyze the information in the qualitative section, all the interviews were written down and then all the important topics were coded in several steps. For the quantitative part of the research, content validity, material analysis, internal consistency and retesting were examined. Results: The results of the qualitative analysis of the interviews showed that the talents of these children fall into 6 categories: cognitive, language, movement, social and emotional, learning and education, and daily life skills. The minimum and maximum (Content validity ratio) of CVR is equal to 0.8 and 1. The results of the correlation of the items with the total score of the scale indicate that all the items have a significant correlation with the total score. Exploratory factor analysis confirmed the existence of 6 factors with acceptable factor loading. Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that the children’s behavioral questionnaire has acceptable psychometric properties and can be used in research and rehabilitation activities. | ||
